In the early 1980s, pop star Cyndi Lauper teamed up with WWF manager Captain Lou Albano during the “Rock ’n’ Wrestling” era. Albano famously played her dad in the Girls Just Want to Have Fun music video, sparking a fun friendship that bridged pop music and pro wrestling. Their collaboration helped bring mainstream attention to the WWF and became a memorable piece of 80s pop culture history.
