Jay and Silent Bob are fictional characters created by Kevin Smith, first appearing in Clerks (1994). Jay is loud and talkative, while Silent Bob is quiet and only speaks occasionally, usually with insight. They became recurring figures in the “View Askewniverse” films, known for their crude humor, pop culture commentary, and unlikely friendship. Over time, they grew from side characters into cult comedy icons with their own films and a lasting fan following.
